Music creates activity in the part of the brain linked to the autonomic nervous system and triggers physical reactions, sweating and sexual arousal. Music can also change, among other things, heart rate, breathing, blood pressure and brain waves. Exavier Emmanuel is a student in the USA with a particular interest in music, time and what the connections between them do to us. We met on a swimming outing in Lisbon.
