Shimaya wanted to reconnect with the polarities within herself. She brought the group Beyond Nudity into a ritual centered on “primordial mother energy.”
To me, says Shimaya, it’s like we need to be connected to ourselves but also to people around you, that you know, and in that reality we can still find mutual ground despite our differences.
It became a beautiful and sensual experience. A reminder of the golden power within the yoni and our deep longing to belong. Not only with others but also with the earth itself.
Shimaya described the ritual as a journey to connect with her sensuality and the world around her. It was about being present and open to the energy within and around her. Rediscovering the balance between control and vulnerability. This wasn’t about reaching a goal. It was simply about being and releasing pressures and expectations.
The ritual reminded her of the importance of trusting herself and letting go of concerns about the outcome. Just being present and able to connect with this profound energy was essential for her.
