Over the years, we have shared countless late-night conversations on Messenger – about everything from joy and dreams to sorrow and longing. Lillemor and I are united by our shared interest in photography. She might be a bit sharper as a model than I have ever been, and we have embraced that insight.

For Lillemor, it is not just about standing in front of the camera – it is a collaboration where we play our way to the images, and we have laughed through many photo sessions over the past ten years.

When Lillemor was diagnosed with cancer, the camera became a way to capture moments, perhaps as a counterbalance to the hardship. But it was not the only illness she had to fight. Life has been – and still is – a constant balancing act between personal ability, the bureaucracy of the employment office, and a job market that is not always open to those who take a different path.
Despite everything, we have continued to meet. And in every image, there is a story – about strength, friendship, and never losing curiosity about life.
