Maya explains that many people have a misconception about tantra, where it is often only connected to sexuality<\/a>. ”For me, it’s about life,” says Maya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through tantra, Maya has learned to embrace her sensuality and release her inner energy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The journey has been challenging. Maya reflects on shame and guilt linked to her sensuality: ” The greatest shame for me lies in the pleasure I find in my own sensuality and sharing it with others”. Tantra for Maya is about letting go of the need to control and know everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maya describes how she has become more aware of the present moment in her tantric practice and lets things fall into place. ”It’s a balance between intention and giving space for things to happen.” Through her journey, Maya has not only transformed her relationship with herself, but also how she relates to others. ”It’s given me the tools to be more present in every moment, and it’s changed the way I relate to both myself and others.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
