HOJAB Parking Service – complaint upheld

HOJAB Parking Service – complaint upheld

I parked. You were supposed to enter your registration number, and I did. The machine was satisfied and approved the payment of 66 SEK. Back at the parking lot, there's this penalty notice waiting, and of course I have no idea why. When I studied the receipt, I saw that one letter hadn't registered. It should have read COWxxx but had become CWxxx. All it takes is a little grease on the screen, and plenty of people have surely struggled too given the screen's lighting.

HOJAB PARKING SERVICE rejects my appeal with the message that it is the driver's responsibility to ensure they've started a parking ticket with the correct registration number. I can't help but smile at the company name they've chosen.

Glad not to have a job that forces you to send out bills to people who quite obviously paid their way at a machine that happily accepted the payment without complaining about an incorrect format.
