Portraits Are Encounters with People. A moment of total attention — an attempt to see beneath the surface, into something more.

I try to think as little as possible about technique. It is there, but must never get in the way. The context is important, but the encounter is everything. The beauty lies in presence, in stillness, in the courage to show oneself as one truly is. That is where the portrait is born — in the meeting between two people.

Want to try it yourself? Let the place and the light be simple. Let the encounter carry the image. There, in the pared-down simplicity, the person reveals herself as she is — the people of Linköping.
