The Santa Hat and Ylva, a Lesson in Negotiation and Compromise

What is time? Two years is definitely time. It is also how long I have known that I would become a grandfather. I received a parcel on Christmas Eve and opened it. A little sweater appeared, and it took a few moments before I sensed what was going on. Could it be a grandchild, perhaps?
And so it was. Now she is a person who runs around, reaches out her arms to be lifted up, or turns away in downright demonstrative fashion.
Her first year of life in the wider world has been marked by great uncertainty in the world around us. I hope that we in Sweden can stand up for our democratic principles even in this time of unrest. Ylva will become part of a different society than today's – the only question is which one?
So how did the photography with the Santa hat go? Perhaps it turned into a lesson in negotiation technique and compromise.
