Two Nerds at the Editing Desk, One Colourful and Then a Quieter One

Meeting Deep Torkel Knutsson feels like standing in the path of a freight train.

He has a strong presence and a fierce creative energy that takes up a certain amount of space in the room. We got to know each other through a couple of video projects where good friends introduced us, and it was quite a journey. Great fun and challenging. Torkel has worked with film and music for many years, and I am all but tone-deaf.

It was two nerds who met and felt each other out. For me it was deeply rewarding. Yet it was not all about film and image. We also landed in other parts of life, the Serenity Prayer among them.

"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

There are, of course, many ways to view and approach the divine. I choose to see the concept as a force within myself. Others see it in different ways – and thankfully, in our country, that is up to each and every one of us.
